Body Control Pilates
Body Control Pilates was established in London in 1995 by Lynne Robinson and Gordon Thomson and is an exercise method that encourages total body awareness – a true integration of mind and body that promotes improved strength, flexibility, coordination and muscle balance.

From your first classical roll down to the more choreographed single leg stretch, the mind is focused on alignment, precision and control, working from muscles deep inside the body to create smooth, coordinated movement.

Emphasis within the method is on optimum posture - when bodies are aligned correctly the muscles will fall into place, therefore minimizing the chronic tension and joint strain so often present within our current stressful lifestyles.

At the beginner levels the exercises are precise, slow and controlled allowing a solid foundation to be built for progression to the more intermediate or advanced work.
