Storehouse North Down Fundraising

STOREHOUSE DONATION
 

Studio36 raised funds for Storehouse North Down over the Christmas period with the teachers running a festive Zoom class. With that and a huge generous response from other clients we reached the grand sum of £1670 (plus gift aid).  
Last week I managed to deliver the cheque. Not entirely straightforward! 
Followed google maps (first mistake - should have just listened more closely to client Gillian's instructions!). Ended up in Balloo Industrial Estate at completely the wrong place - was nearly persuaded by a gentleman to give my donation to a completely different charity. Try explaining that to all my clients who were so generous!
Anyway, eventually arrived (with my Mum) at Storehouse. We were welcomed with open arms, and given a complete tour of the place. Incredible set up. So organised with totally passionate volunteers. 
THIS IS WHAT THEY ALWAYS NEED MORE OF:

• Plastic bags. They gave 3000 out at Christmas. Never have enough. eg Tesco/Sainsbury's decent plastic bags that can support a few tins etc. See below for studio36 plan. 

• Mens toiletries, eg deodorant, shaving foam etc

• Women's sanitary items and toiletries

• Chunky chicken or tinned protein meal equivalent. 

You can drop items to the site in Balloo just behind Sainsbury's - just don't follow google maps!...but bring any surplus plastic bags directly to me at the studio. I said I would happily collect for them. Check your cupboards at home. I reckon we could gather a few...
